The UK is ready to advance with utilizing the entire amount of seized Russian assets to aid Ukraine's war effort, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a joint statement, the officials of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this coordinated action would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and compel Moscow to participate in talks.

They added that the move would be implemented in close cooperation with the America.

UK sanctions have blocked over £25bn of Russia's resources since Moscow initiated its full-scale invasion against Ukraine in 2022. However, up to this point, resources sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian funds had exclusively been sourced from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their desire to push forward toward utilizing the total worth of the seized Moscow's national holdings to halt hostilities.

He stated that more restrictions soon would heighten the tension on Moscow.

This announcement follows EU representatives convened in Copenhagen last week to discuss employing frozen Russian holdings for a 140-billion-euro loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Last month, American leader Donald Trump called on Group of Seven partners to confiscate or utilize frozen Russian funds, according to news outlets.

The worth of immobilized Russia's funds in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

Moscow carried out large-scale missile and drone strikes throughout the Ukrainian territory on recently, leading to electricity outages in many areas of Kyiv, the city, and several other zones.

Several persons were killed and a minimum of 20 people were injured in the assault, Ukrainian officials reported.

In a post on X subsequent to the attack, Zelensky stated that the strategic strike aimed at civilian and energy infrastructure.

"What's needed is not mere statements but firm measures - from the America, EU, and the seven nations - in delivering air defence systems and implementing restrictions," he stated.

"All penalty impositions diminishes the Russian war effort," Zelensky declared, in a separate post.

In the same period, Zelensky told media outlets he would press Sir Keir to join the Purl program, under which alliance members purchase military equipment from the United States to give to the Ukrainian forces.
