Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“Farage has built his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their organizations for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, particularly schooling … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

Reform, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with schooling – truly monumental. Moreover, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where views are labeled good or bad. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after Kebede called the party “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted at school, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in schools and millions of days of lost learning for students.

At the US event, Farage also vowed to promote the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He said such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I am serious. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment now and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these beautiful courses for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
